Laurence Peter Russell lived just across the English Channel in the flight path of German aircraft during World War II. After the destruction had been unleashed, the young, indentured apprentice routinely proceeded to do for Mother England what he did best; Up from the shelter he came to restore Her damaged homes and buildings to their original condition.
Under the demanding tutorship of master craftsman, Laurence was trained to re-create original architecture with an eye and hand for detail. In his 58 years, he has restored numerous homes and irreplaceable buildings. His repertoire includes the most sought-after niches, crown mouldings, centerpiece medallions, corbels, cornices, fire and door surrounds, archways, panel mouldings, chair rails, decorations, and artifacts. Over 2000 masterpieces and moulds available....
In 1983. Mr. Russell emigrated from his home on the Thames River to begin a very new life with a very old craft here in America. He established his expertise at several of Atlanta's most prestigious residential and commercial addresses and has indulged in some of Savannah's historical landmark restorations.
